A first look at the skills
When I first started to come into contact with Tai Chi, I felt that its movements were very slow, and each movement seemed a little slow, and there was nothing special about it. However, when I calmed down and watched the demonstrations of experienced masters carefully, I found that every time they raised their hands and kicked their legs, they paid great attention to the angle and strength of their movements. The movements seemed gentle and powerless, but in fact they were not lacking in strength; the force of flexibility could also overcome hardness. At this moment, I was fascinated by it and made a firm determination in my heart. Tai Chi Lessons decided to concentrate on learning Tai Chi.
Study hard with your teacher
Finally, I have been waiting for this day and I have the honor of joining the disciple of a senior Tai Chi master. The master was thin and looked ordinary on the outside, but when he waved the Tai Chi sword, he was fully focused. When guiding me in Tai Chi movements, the master paid great attention to every detail, and asked me to do everything perfectly, no matter every link or direction of the movement. That day, I tried to practice Tai Chi's turning skills, but the movements didn't seem smooth enough. The master patiently gave me guidance, and every correction was like opening a new window for me, which gave me a deeper understanding of Tai Chi. Through the careful teaching of my master, my skills have been significantly improved.
Self-training dilemma
As I practice boxing more and more times, I gradually realized that my progress seemed to have encountered a bottleneck. I used to think that I had mastered the basic movements and the inner essence quite well, but after a period of continuous practice , my progress was not significant. During the practice, my body always feels nervous and my breathing is not so smooth. Every time I finish practicing, I feel that I have not truly understood the essence of boxing. I began to doubt whether my previous practice method was correct and I began to have questions about my abilities. It seemed as if I had walked into a maze, and I was lost and didn't know how to keep moving forward.
Thinking about the bottleneck
In order to get rid of the current dilemma, I collected various materials, read them carefully, and asked other martial artists for advice. I watched the video of myself punching over and over again, slowing down and looking for shortcomings in the movements, however, sometimes at the end of the day I could only find some tiny pose errors. At this time, I realized that practicing movements is far from enough. I need to learn and master breathing skills in depth, adjust my mindset, and have a deeper understanding of boxing. You can't be in a hurry, you have to let yourself experience the mystery little by little.
Good place to enter the boxing
After repeated thinking and practice, I have taken another small step on the road of martial arts practice. I have mastered all the movements, so I turned my attention to the regulation of my breathing and tried to experience the experience of sinking into the dantian; my mind fell, and I devoted myself to every movement. Everything around me seemed to be gone when I practiced boxing, only the perfect combination of me and boxing techniques remained. Every breath became harmonious, and every movement seemed smooth and free. Completed a set of boxing exercises, which felt like passing a very difficult game. The satisfaction and happiness from the heart are really hard to hide.
